The Visitor Services Coordinator ensures that each visitor receives outstanding customer service by providing a friendly environment which includes greeting and acknowledging visitors distributing current literature on membership or events answering questions and referring visitors to appropriate staff or resources. Under the direction of the assigned supervisor, the Visitor Services Coordinator is charged with providing ticketing, admission and visitor information services, visitor relations and service recovery to Northwest Trek's annual 900,000+ visitors in a manner consistent with the environment of Northwest Trek as a tourism destination and AZA accredited institution. These eight core values will guide future decisions, business and operations, and the manner in which MPT treats staff, customers and the community: From waterfront access to local neighborhood parks to large regional facilities and attractions, the MPT system is both a local community asset and regional destination. The system is comprised of many different park facilities that offer residents a variety of recreational opportunities. Metro Parks Tacoma is located in Tacoma, Washington. Metro Parks Tacoma (MPT) is a CAPRA-accredited and AZA-accredited, independent park district that leads efforts to build a healthy, sustainable community. The full-salary range for this position is $24.46 - $39.75 per hour. The district is currently reviewing the salary range for this position. A candidate with higher qualifications will be reviewed for additional consideration. Based on our internal equity review process, the starting salary for a candidate meeting the minimum qualifications for this position is anticipated to be $24.46.
